How does it work?
Just bring in your old, unwanted and broken jewelry to Ramsey’s. We will be happy to provide you with a price estimate before you decide to sell your gold, silver or platinum.
Do you only buy gold?
No. We buy gold (yellow, white or rose), platinum, silver.
How do you pay?
You can choose between two different payment methods:
We hand you a check, and our Omni Bank is just blocks away. They will cash it at no charge OR You can get an additional 33% by choosing a Ramsey’s Gift Certificate (no expiration date) instead of a check.
Do I have to leave my jewelry at Ramsey’s?
No, Ramsey’s processes most Gold Purchases while you wait. The whole process takes about 10 to 20 minutes and you are able to watch the entire process from estimate to testing of the metals.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment necessary, you can come in anytime we are open. Mon. - Thur. 10am -7 pm, Fri. & Sat. 10am - 6 p.m.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring a valid state issued picture ID, such as a driver’s license with you. You must be 18 years of age or older to sell any items.
Do you buy diamonds?
Yes! We buy diamonds that weigh 1carat and over. Currently the company that purchases second hand diamonds from Ramsey’s is only interested in high quality diamonds 1 carat and larger. If your diamond is 1 carat or larger and within the Color range of D-I and Clarity range Flawless to SI1 bring it in. You will have to provide Ramsey’s with the price that you wish to sell your diamond for before it can be considered for purchase. Once you have given us a price your diamond will be evaluated by a Graduate Gemologist to determine if Ramsey’s can purchase the diamond.
Do you buy pearls and gem stones?
No. However we would be happy to remove any gem stones you would like to keep from your jewelry. This is often done as a complimentary service, but there could be a fee associated with the removal of stones depending on the quantity of stones and style of setting.
