November 3: Opening of Louisiana's largest diamond store at 701 Veterans Blvd in Metairie, between Bonnabel Blvd & West End Blvd.
January 19: final day to shop at 1901 Manhattan Blvd in Harvey on the Westbank
"The decision to close the Westbank store was made when our Westbank shoppers told us how excited they were to shop at the new store in Metairie," said Robert Ramsey. "That's when it hit me: diamonds are an important enough purchase that people will drive outside their normal trade area to see a bigger selection and get a better price."
